The 4TheWall 4K HDMI Fiber Optic Extender is a professional long-distance AV transmission solution designed to extend HDMI video and audio signals up to 10km over single-mode fiber optic cable. Supporting video bandwidth up to 18Gbps and resolutions up to 4K@60Hz with RGB/YCbCr 4:4:4 color sampling, the extender delivers detailed Ultra HD video with accurate color reproduction. It is compatible with HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2 and supports standard VESA display resolutions for use with professional displays, projectors and visualization systems.
The extender supports HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG pass-through, helping preserve the extended brightness, contrast and color range of compatible HDR content. It also supports HDMI 3D video and advanced audio formats, including LPCM 7.1CH, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Single-mode fiber enables transmission distances of up to 10km, making the system suitable for large campuses, industrial facilities, transportation centers and other applications where the source and display are located far apart. With compatible SFP modules, OM4 multi-mode fiber transmission is supported over distances of up to 300m.
Fiber optic transmission provides electrical isolation and strong resistance to electromagnetic interference, helping maintain reliable signal performance in electrically noisy environments. EDID transfer and locking functions support stable communication between the source and display devices, while status LEDs simplify system monitoring and troubleshooting.
